1. PRELIMINARY CONDITIONS
The leasing contract is signed between the Client and RENT TECH Car Rentals Albania, hereby called “The Company”. The Client should submit at the rental desk, at the moment of the pick up all the necessary documents such as; 1. Passport or ID, 2. Valid driving license - Eligible driving age is 21 – 75 years old, minimum 2 years of driving experience. An International Driving Permit is required for drivers from outside the European Union. 3. Valid Credit Card, under the name of the main driver, with enough available funds. Only Visa and/or Mastercard will be accepted. No prepaid, recharge or virtual credit cards – or any card on which the relevant characters are not embossed will be accepted, no Visa Dankort will be accepted. 4. Voucher, the Client is obliged to present the relevant voucher to the counter desk at the moment of the rental procedure.
1. CONDITION OF THE VEHICLE
Prior to signing the Contract, the Client must witness every visible vehicle damages and confirm that the vehicle is in sound and safe condition. The maximum time the Client can make any claim is 10 minutes after leaving the pick-up location. Otherwise he will be charged for any additional damage not reflected in this contract.
1. RENTAL PERIOD
The Client agrees to return the vehicle after completed the rental period as agreed in the contract. As rental period will be accepted only the PICK UP/DROP OFF DATE AND TIME. The leasing contract is divided in 24 hours period. In the case the client decides to keep the vehicle longer than specified, he should notify the company within 48 hours before drop off. Up to 2 hour delay no extra charge is applied, more than 1 hour delay, 100% of the following rental period, calculated against market value for the missing profit, will be charged. There is no refund applicable in case of early returning. If changes in pick up and drop off location, without a prior, written notification occur the company is eligible to incur a Penalty and extra charges may be applied
1. PAYMENTS
The company accepts cash or Credit Card payments. In case of Credit Card payments the Company is responsible to maintain the confidentiality of the Credit Card information.
- CDW (Collision Damage Waiver)/SECURITY DEPOSIT
The Client agrees to a CDW excess of 600 – 800 euro that covers any bodywork damages and the most the client will pay is the excess damage. This CDW is valid only if the Client sticks to the Terms and Conditions of this Contract. However the CDM does not cover damages of: Windows, Wheels, Interior and undercarriage; Toll and Police Fine charges, Towing charges; Extension of rental days; Child seats, GPS and Wi-Fi devices, Personal belongings; Any damage caused by driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, Any other damage occurred because of careless driving, Missing fuels, refueling errors, Valeting/cleaning fee. An additional security deposits of 240 – 500 euro will be required at the rental desk regarding the above-mentioned damages or events.
In the absence of any bodywork damage, the CDW excess shall be credited and shall be returned to the Client within 21 working days. The security deposit instead will be released only after the company will confirm that none of the above-mentioned damages covered by this deposit is done to the vehicle. *If the client has incurred any charges, such as speeding tickets or unpaid congestion/toll charges, if the Company finds out that the car has been driven carelessly, off road, in unpaved roads or out of the border of Albania without the Company authorization, after the termination of the Contract, the Company has the right to charge the client more than the secured deposit. This could be months after the rental – and the client will have to pay the related charges as well as the company’s administration fees. Due to fluctuating foreign exchange rates and other possible banking charges, the Company cannot be held responsible for any difference between the amount paid and the amount refunded.
1.1 FDW (FULL DAMAGE WAIVER)
The company offers 2 types of FDW insurance at an extra cost, to be paid locally. The coverage of this insurance will be explained to the Client at the rental desk at the moment of the Pickup. If any of the covering packages will be purchased the client will be equipped with the proper voucher.
IN ANY CASE OF ACCIDENTS/COLLISIONS OR DAMAGES THE POLICE REPORT IS MANDATORY!
1. ADDITIONAL CHARGES AND EXCLUSIONS
The client is responsible for any charges and fines, including tolls, congestion charges, speeding tickets and parking or traffic fines and an extra administrative cost of 10 euro, VAT excluded will be applied. The vehicle shall not be used to push, propel or tow another vehicle or trailer, for any illegal purpose, shall not be operated by any other person other than the ones stated by this Contract. The vehicle shall not be driven off road, in unpaved road. Every vehicle is equipped with a GPS system and any violation will be charged. VAT excluded. Smoking inside the car is prohibited and the valeting charge is 50 Euro, VAT excluded. In case of Key loss or badly damaged, the Client will be charged 350 Euro VAT excluded. In case of vehicle plate loss and document loss the client will be obliged to pay 30 additional rental days. In case of GPS loss the driver will be charged 200 Euro, Vat excluded.
Driver’s Age
The minimum driver’s age is 18 years.
A young driver surcharge of EUR 10 per rental will apply for drivers aged from 18 years to 21 years.
A senior driver surcharge of EUR 10 per rental will apply for drivers aged above 60 years to 89 years.
Driver’s License
The renter and the driver have to be in possession of a full and valid driving license for at least 2 years with no major endorsements. Also, a valid ID card or passport would be required at time of pick up.
An International Driver’s License (IDL) must be required if the renter’s national driving license is not in Roman alphabet (For Eg. if the license is in Arabic, Greek, Russian or Chinese). International driver license must be accompanied by the original domestic license of the driver.
If the renter does not meet the rental requirements or documents provided by you are insufficient or for any other reason you are unable to pick the vehicle on the date and time mentioned on the booking voucher, the supplier will terminate the contract immediately.
Insurance Coverage
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
It is included in your rental amount.
Collision damage waiver reduces the customer’s damage responsibility to the excess/deductible amount.
The excess amount for CDW depends upon the vehicle groups:
The maximum excess amount for compact, intermediate, premium (4-5 door), standard and economy vehicle groups is EUR 600.
The maximum excess amount for fullsize, luxury, premium SUV and mini van vehicle groups is EUR 800.
Theft Waiver (THW)
It is included in your rental amount.
It reduces the client's financial responsibility for loss or theft to the vehicle to the sum of the deductible.
The excess amount for THW depends upon the vehicle groups:
The maximum excess amount for compact, intermediate, premium (4-5 door), standard and economy vehicle groups is EUR 600.
The maximum excess amount for fullsize, luxury, premium SUV and mini van vehicle groups is EUR 800.
Third Party Liability (TPL)
It is included in the rental amount.
Insurance coverage for the vehicle rented includes Third Party Liability with a limited cover for personal injuries and material damages.
Please Note: 1. Police report is mandatory in case of an accident or damage and theft without police report all protections are invalid.
Excess Reduction
In the event of an accident, Super Collision Damage Waiver (Super CDW) reduces your excess amount up to ZERO.
The price of Super CDW is EUR 35 per day for all vehicle groups.

Fees
Airport surcharge is not applicable.
Other fees:
1. You are responsible for the cost of any tolls, traffic fines, parking fines and other penalties incurred whilst the vehicle is contracted to you. The rental office will pass the relevant charges on to you plus any administrative expenses (if applicable).
Early Returns/Unused Rental Days
No refunds (partial or full) will be given for rentals ended early including the purchase of ancillary items, late collections, no shows or cancellations made after the rental start date.
Roadside Assistance
Roadside assistance is available for an additional charge of EUR 60 per rental. In case you require roadside assistance contact - +355693640303. Relevant contact details and roadside assistance procedures will be given prior to the commencement of the hire.
Fuel Policy
You have to return the vehicle with same fuel amount as it was supplied to you at the time of pickup. In case of less fuel missing fuel will be charged in addition to a refueling fee on your return. Unused fuel is not refundable. Fuel charges are payable at the rental desk unless otherwise stated. Supplier's fuel policies change from time to time, please confirm at rental counter.
Mileage
Unlimited
Cross Border Travel
Travel across borders is only permitted upon request and with prior written authorization from the supplier. Before the rental begins, customers must notify the rental desk that they plan to cross the border. The supplier will impose a penalty fee on you if you fail to comply.
Cross-border travel is allowed to Greece, North Macedonia, Kosovo, and Montenegro, as these are the most commonly requested destinations in our region.
In special cases, the supplier also accommodated requests for longer trips to countries such as Croatia and Bulgaria. However, these are subject to special request and approval, depending on the circumstances.
A cross border fee of EUR 50 per border will apply.
In case of offence against Cross Border and Territorial Restrictions all protections lose their validity.
Ferry Travel
Taking the rented vehicle on ferry is allowed upon request.
VAT
VAT is included in the rental price. However, for all the optional extras or special equipment, or extra services, taxes would be levied separately.
Payment Methods and Deposit
Only Master Card and Visa credit cards are accepted and the card must be on main renters name while paying at the rental desk.
Debit cards (Visa and Mastercard) and cash are accepted for rental payments.
American Express is not accepted.
Deposit:
A refundable deposit varying from EUR 600 to EUR 800 (depending on the Vehicle groups) will be held from the credit card at the time of rental until the vehicle is returned.
Delivery and Collection
Delivery and collection service is available.
Out of Hours
Out of hours service is available for an additional charge of EUR 15 per service.
Extras
Confirmation of Special Equipments depends upon the availability at the rental desk.
