What documents do I need to rent a car?

You must present:

  • A valid passport or ID card
  • A valid driving license
  • Proof of minimum 2 years driving experience
  • An International Driving Permit (if you’re from outside the EU)
  • A Credit Card in the main driver's name (Visa or Mastercard only)
  • The rental voucher

What are the age and driving experience requirements?

Drivers must be between 21 and 75 years old with at least 2 years of driving experience.

Are all credit cards accepted?

  • Accepted: Visa and Mastercard (with embossed characters)
  • Not accepted: Prepaid, rechargeable, virtual cards, or Visa Dankort

What should I check when picking up the vehicle?

Inspect the vehicle for any damage before signing the contract. Report any existing issues within 10 minutes of leaving the pick-up location.

What happens if I return the car late?

  • Up to 1 hour delay: No extra charge

  • More than 1 hour delay: Charged 100% of the next rental day

Can I extend my rental?

Yes, but you must notify the company at least 72 hours before the original drop-off time.

What is the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)?

CDW limits your financial responsibility for bodywork damages to €600–€1200, depending on the car.

Note: It does not cover windows, tires, interior, undercarriage, personal belongings, or careless driving.

Is a security deposit required?

Yes, a refundable deposit of €240–€500 is required to cover potential damages not included in CDW. This is refunded within 21 working days if no issues are found.

Is Full Damage Waiver (FDW) available?

Yes, two FDW options are offered at an extra cost. Full details are provided at the rental desk.

What happens in case of an accident?

You must provide a police report, regardless of the severity. Without it, no insurance (CDW/FDW) will apply.

What is your fuel policy?

The vehicle is provided with a full tank and must be returned the same. Missing fuel is charged at €2.2/liter + €10 admin fee.

Are there any restrictions on vehicle usage?

Yes, the car must not be:

  • Driven off-road or on unpaved roads
  • Used for towing or pushing
  • Operated by an unauthorized driver
  • Used for illegal activity
  • Smoked in (violation incurs €50 cleaning fee)

Can I drive outside of Albania?

Yes, with prior approval at least 7 days before pick-up.

  • Cross Border Fee: €48
  • Driving without authorization: €100 penalty
  • For full coverage abroad, purchase the Border Full Casco and Road Assistance voucher

What roadside assistance is included?

Basic roadside assistance is included within Albania.

  • If damage occurs on unpaved roads, charges apply.
  • Extra services are charged at €0.8/km + €50 admin fee
  • Towing: €1.2/km + €50 admin fee
  • Covered for free under Happy Relax Cover Plus

What are your working hours?

Official hours: 08:00 – 21:00

  • Services outside these hours incur a €20 fee

When does the rental contract end?

  • When the vehicle, keys, and documents are returned
  • In case of an accident: when the police report is submitted
  • If the car is impounded: when it is released
